How is Walker's Renton Subaru dedicated locally to the Love Promise?
We are dedicated to ensuring that students in the Renton School District have the best educational opportunities possible. As a supporter of Renton Schools Foundation, we contribute funding to promote Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (S.T.E.M.) curriculum, Early Literacy, and Music Programs. In our ongoing efforts to support education initiatives in Renton, we have also partnered with Communities in Schools of Renton to help equip students with much-need school supplies and funding for after-school enrichment programs as well as providing students with mentoring where needed. Walker's Renton Subaru is also proud to participate in Renton River Days, our hometown's 3-day family & community festival. By taking part and sponsoring the event, we get the chance to meet some of the amazing people and organizations in Renton and introduce ourselves as well.

On June 16th, Walker’s Renton Subaru partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Valley Medical Center through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. This partnership involved delivering blankets, and messages of hope to cancer patients. It was an amazing delivery day filled with kindness and connection. Through Walker’s Renton Subaru participation in these programs, it shows they care. Walker’s Renton Subaru consistently shows up and shows out for their community, and that impact was felt on the delivery day. We are so grateful to work and live in a community that takes care of one another. Thank you, Walker’s Renton Subaru and thank you Valley Medical Center for being firm in your mission to help others.

For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Renton, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Walker's Renton Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Walker's Renton Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/24/2025, Walker's Renton Subaru donated 120 coats to Boys & Girls Club of King County - Southwest. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

Walker’s Renton Subaru & Share the Love program reaches $1 million in support to Renton Schools - Carsyn K
Walker's Renton Subaru has reached an extraordinary goal set by owner Dale Walker to exceed more than $1 million in financial support to benefit students, educators, and families in the Renton School District. The generous donation, 10-years in the making, is made possible thanks to hundreds of customers of Walker’s Renton Subaru who for years have donated $250 of a new car lease or purchase to Renton Schools Foundation as part of Subaru of America’s annual Share the Love event. The financial milestone is also made possible thanks to the personal donations of Dale Walker. The funding is provided to the Renton Schools Foundation who continues to fund programs that benefit students in every school in the district including: • teacher grants for classroom instruction; • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs; • music, arts, literacy programs; • summer STEM Camps; • and more. “This has been an amazing partnership with Dale Walker and his team at Walker’s Renton Subaru,” said Pam Teal, Chair of the Renton Schools Foundation. “Since the Foundation’s inception, Dale has shown great leadership and personal commitment to ensuring our teachers, students, and support staff have what they need to make Renton School District’s education system meaningful, inclusive, and successful.” “We’re blessed to have many engaged partners in the Renton School District,” said Renton Schools Superintendent Dr. Damien Pattenaude. “But Dale Walker’s commitment to every student, educator, and family member in this district stands out as exceptional. From Classroom to Career: How We’re Supporting Student Success in Auto Tech - Carsyn K
Renton School District has teamed with Walker’s Renton Subaru to help high school students interested in cars and car maintenance become automotive technicians. Walker’s is hosting our high school students in day-long trainings to provide them with an overview of the automotive industry. Students, like Renton High junior Xzavier Frazier and Hazen High senior Bernardo Marinho are learning about vehicle maintenance including diagnostics, computer analysis, engine overhauls, transmission replacement, Electric Vehicle (EV) batteries, and more. They’re also learning the how to connect with customers and processes service requests. The goal of the program is to have interested students graduate from high school and immediately enter the workforce through Walker’s extensive training program. The program is part of the Renton School District’s Job Shadow Network which offers students a chance to step into the shoes of professionals in fields they're curious about, connecting classroom learning and future careers. This is just one of many ways Walker’s Renton Subaru has supported education in the Renton School District. Walker’s Renton Subaru Joins the City of Renton for 3rd Annual Park Clean-Up - Carsyn K
Yesterday, our team at Walker’s Renton Subaru rolled up our sleeves and got to work making Renton a little greener and a whole lot cleaner! We were proud to join forces with the City of Renton for our third annual park clean-up, continuing a tradition we hold close to our hearts. This yearly event is a chance for us to give back to the community we love—and to spend some quality time outside helping to beautify one of Renton's cherished public spaces. This year, 21 of our amazing team members came out to prune bushes, rake leaves, pull weeds, and generally spruce things up. It was an afternoon of teamwork, laughter, and fresh air—and we couldn’t be more proud of what we accomplished together. At Walker’s Renton Subaru, community is everything. We believe in showing up, pitching in, and making a difference—whether it's through our Subaru Love Promise or simply lending a helping hand when it’s needed most.
